Living NOW on this New Earth

If you have not yet picked up one of Eckhart Tolle’s books, you really need to do that soon. After some prodding my friends Amy and Deb, I just couldn’t resist any longer.
I started with The Power Of Now, moved on to A New Earth and I’m now reading Stillness Speaks. This is just what I needed to give me that little spiritual jolt each day, especially those days when I’m finding myself drawn into the drama of those around me.
I love the way Tolle encompasses the teachings of Jesus, Buddha, et al in his explanations. His books don’t replace your own faith but rather helps to clarify it. Something as simple as finally “getting” the term life, and understanding that saying My Life separates me from who I am… Oh, just pick up one of his books and read it. I can’t explain it as Tolle can.
If you’re tired of being bogged down in your thoughts and worries and you’re ready to find peace and contentment, do pick up one of these books. And let me know if Eckhart Tolle’s words resonate with you as they do with me.

Inspirational Reading

I’ve been a reading fool since my husband has been in Hawaii. It seems that I’m always in the middle of a book. I do hope to continue this trend after he gets back, but for some reason I never read when he’s around. I wonder why that is?
Anyway, right now I’m listening to A New Earth on CDs. Usually, I prefer reading books to listening but this is an exception. The author’s voice is soothing and hearing the words the way he intended them really brings every point home. Thanks to Amy and Deb for talking about the book and how much better the audio is than simply reading. A New Earth has had such an impact on my life that even my kids are noticing it. That’s amazing.
Next on my list: Zen Miracles. I’ll have to search the library for that one or order it online because none of the bookstores I’ve been to around here carries it. I’ll just be sure to read it before Brian gets home. Just in case.
