It happened to me again. I went to the mall with my daughter and we stopped by several areas of the cosmetics department. We looked at eyeshadows and blush; we sampled lipstick and glosses. And, naturally, we lingered over the fragrances.
My daughter found several that she really liked; I found two. And both, believe it or not, were men’s fragrances! Why am I unable to find a woman’s perfume that I really like? Why am I always attracted to the men’s fragrances?
I guess florals just don’t do it for me. Vanilla, musk, amber, black pepper, all appeal to me. How do I know this? I’ve tried to blend my own special fragrance. No, I don’t have a “nose” for that. So I guess I’ll just stick with men’s fragrances for now.

Taking a cue from Cass, who’s been treating herself to little luxuries lately, I’m doing the same today. First up, manicure and pedicure. Then, if I still have the courage, a new hairstyle.
Yeah, you read that right. I’m going to allow someone with scissors near my hair. I can’t believe I just put that in writing. I hate getting my hair cut because there’s approximately 3 people in this whole country who understand how to cut curly hair and none of them are within 500 miles of me. But my hair needs… something.
Whether or not you get pictures depends on how much sedation I need to get through this.
