That’s a really beautiful way of looking at lent. I’ve struggled with trying to give up something that’s important to me in the past, but I’ve never tried to put it in perspective like that. It’s too late to do lent over now but I’ll try to apply this kind of thinking next time I try to give up on of my vices (candy and chocolate, so good and yet so bad for you!).

Giving up something for lent only makes you stronger mentally and obviously if it is something that is bad for your health you will also gain health benefits too.
