I want to join Brent is saying that the memories of those who have helped us through tough times, as well as good; those who have given us love and security; those who have made us feel important and special; those are the people who go on giving even when they have passed on.

We all need these kinds of memories in order to feel hopeful about our lives. The Aunt Jo's of the world are irreplaceable.

You know, when we see these kinds of sentiments, we want to weep.

You have no idea how lucky you are to have people in family that you will actually miss.

Our Mom just died a few months back, and unfortunately, we didn't shed a tear, not one.

She beat us, and never hugged us, not once.

Our Dad is now 90 and hanging on.

Haven't seen him in 15 years.

He beat us, and never hugged us. Not once.

When he dies, we will not be attending his funeral.

He lives in a luxury old age home in Florida.

We manage to send him a Christmas card each year....Just.

I know it's sad, and we wish things were different. But they are not.

When we have tried to communicate in the past, Dad is usually drunk, and doesn't remember the calls.

Again, we envy you and your family love.

Happily, our current families are much happier.

We make sure to hug each other daily.

We tell each other we love one another daily, and mean it.

We have banished alcohol from our home, since all of us seem to have a weakness for it.

We work together in our small business, and tend to each other's daily emotional needs, just like your aunt must have done.

Love returns love.

Nine years ago last week, I gave one of the three eulogies for my uncle. I cannot believe he's been gone 9 years already. I miss him all of the time, and while I don't feel so sad any more, it seems like such a long time to have lived without him now.

Thanks for posting the eulogy your sister gave for your aunt. It was very nice to read.
