Bail Me Out, Baby

So, how’s the economy treating you?
I’ve been paying attention to all the pundits and experts, trying to make some sense of everything being reported on TV and across the internet. So far, I don’t get it. The bailout package that was supposed to be so wonderful for our economy and for “Main Street” has done nothing but make matters worse.
I can’t help but wonder if we’d be farther ahead if Congress had doled out all that money to each of us and let all those big shots with the golden parachute dreams file bancrupcy. In fact, how about if every Senator and Congressman who voted for the scam bailout is required to personally guarantee the payback. You know, act as a co-signer on the loan, just in case the $700 Billion is never paid back. Come on, elected folks! Put your money where your mouth is.
I can remember questions about Senator Clinton’s futures trading history and the outcry over whether she’d done something wrong. I never quite understood all that. By comparison, her misdeeds seem trivial now if, in fact, she did anything wrong at all. Maybe someone out there can explain to me whether those accusations were somehow tied to the stuff going on now. (I don’t see a connection but I’m not in the know about these things.)
Back to my original question, and my answer. My whole family is in construction. The banks aren’t lending so people aren’t building. That’s bad. I sure could use a little piece of that bailout money. Who do I see about that?

That must be hard that no one is wanting to build anymore. I think times are getting really hard for all jobs. My sister is a city court clerk and she was just told they were lowering her hours by 8 a week. That is 4 days a month that she’ll now be missing out on. It’s hard. If ya find out who’s passing out the bailout money, let me know! Hope things get better for you and yours.
