Verizon Sucks

This is the third time since June that I’ve tried to cancel my Verizon DSL and downgrade my phone service. That means that every month, I’ve had to pay a bill for services I don’t want. I’m getting frustrated.

Now, I’ve been on hold for over 47 minutes!!!! I keep going around and around with this voice system. When I finally spoke to a real person, she put me on hold and didn’t come back for over 30 minutes. I’m so sick of the incompetence of this scam company that I’m totally ready to get phone service elsewhere.

I’m so glad to be rid of Verizon DSL – if only they’d stop billing me for it. Isn’t there a law against this? Shouldn’t canceling really bad service take less time than an hour? Because in 3 minutes it will be one hour.

Verizon not only sucks, they’re thieves, too.

  • The same thing happened to me when I tried to cancel my Cingular phone. I was on hold for about 30 minutes when I tried to cancel. Ironically, the morning before I canceled my service I received a call from Cingular trying to sell me something.

  • Wow, I haven’t had any problems like that with Verizon. But I use to always have trouble with Comcast. Tacking on new fees all the time and just adding services on to my plan out of the blue.

  • it’s too bad that you can’t google any one of the the big service providers and not hear stories like this. I guess the only thing you can do is go with the one that seems to be the ‘least evil’. I haven’t managed to narrow that down myself yet.
