Too Much Of A Good Thing
By Marisa | April 15, 2008
A friend mentioned that she accidently drank a cup of regular coffee instead of her usual decaf and she found herself shaking. I couldn’t even imagine that. My first cup in the morning barely makes me human. In fact, I don’t even get moving until my second pot is brewing.
I suppose it’s accurate to say that I’m addicted to the caffeine in coffee. When I’ve stopped drinking coffee, I get horrendous headaches. I feel sick. That’s typical withdrawal as anyone who has been through drug rehab can tell you.
I’m not certain that caffeine is as bad for me as smoking or drinking. I haven’t smoked for over two years and I seldom drink more than once or twice a year. My guess is that it isn’t the caffeine but the AMOUNT of caffeine that may be a health issue for me. I think I need to look into this, don’t you?
