Productive Saturday
By Marisa | April 5, 2008
I spent some time today getting my bedroom and bathroom all tidied up. Since my husband won’t be back for at least two months, and probably longer, I made some small changes.
For one thing, there are now no ashtrays in my bedroom or bathroom. That means there are no ashes on the night stand or bathroom counter. Also, my laptop is now on the stand next to the recliner. It’s so nice to sit there, watch TV and work on my laptop instead of having to be in my office.
I did notice that the TV is positioned badly, though. Because of it’s angle, I have to hold the remoted up kind of high to use it. I was thinking that I could surprise Brian by install tv wall mount brackets in the corner but then I wondered what I’d do if I wanted to rearrange the furniture. Again. So maybe I’ll just leave the TV where it is for now.
I’m going to enjoy the next week or so and then I think I’ll tackle my closet. I don’t know why but I really hate doing that kind of cleaning when my husband is around. I think it might be because I’m a pack rat and he isn’t so I have to explain why I’m keeping the things that he thinks I ought to throw away.
Anyway, my first Saturday without my husband has passed. Many more to follow. When I’m done with all these little jobs around the house, it’ll be time to book my flight to Lihue.

No, when you finish all of those little jobs, it’s time to move next door!
Hope time passes quickly and your husband returns safely.
Doing things without our husbands, is rather boring…no one to finish what we start.
