Talk Across The Miles
By Marisa | April 3, 2008
Want to know what’s funny? Since my husband is now 5000 miles away from home, we talk to each other more than when he was here. Why is that, do you think?
He calls to tell me that he woke up, that he’s drinking coffee, that they just got to the house for lunch or that he just had supper and he’s going to bed early. I think he misses me.
Of course, there isn’t much going on around here. I’ve told him about the kids and what they’re doing in school. I tell him about different news reports that I’ve heard or about land for sale Branson, wondering if he’s ready to move from this awful valley. Just chit chat, really.
I wonder, when I go to Hawaii to visit, do you think we’ll keep talking and talking? And did you notice I said “when” and not “if.”
