Dreaming of Sun
By Marisa | February 17, 2008
The snow is falling. Again. I hate snow and I hate winter. I hate sounding like a broken record, too, but this season is just not cooperating with my usual cheery demeanor. GRRR.
Also. I love talking to my son, Jesse, but I hate that he’s out and about, walking in sunshine in Hawaii while I’m freezing in this winter wasteland.
I feel bad when he says it’s so hot and he has to work outside but I happen to prefer sweating to shivering. I love that he says he just grabbed his Nike golf shoes and is heading up the road with some friends, so he can’t talk right now, but please, couldn’t you send some of that beautiful weather this way?
I know, I’m the mom and I should be happy for my son. And I am. I’m just miserable for myself. Enough whining, though. I’m going to crank up the heat, jump in the jacuzzi and pretend I’m someplace warm.
Calgon, take me away…..
