Worth The Wait

I was really excited about getting the opportunity to try out two New flavors of Grey Poupon mustard. My husband loves mustard and my son Boomer goes through quite a bit of it making his honey-mustard sauce that he puts on just about everything. So, imagine my disappointment when my two jars of mustard did not arrive when I expected. I won’t rant about mail service, since this post is about mustard, but just be aware that we were really excited to finally get our mustard, try them and give an honest opinion about them.

You may notice from the picture that one jar appears to be, uh, not full. That’s right, before I could grab my camera to get a picture, my husband had opened the jar and dug in! He had the bread on the counter and was rummaging for lunch meat in the fridge before I could even throw the box away.

Grey Poupon

Since taking that picture, my husband and son have debated the differences between the two mustards and which is better for the son’s legendary honey mustard sauce. My husband all around prefers the Hearty Spicy Brown mustard but my son likes that one only on sandwiches. He was surprised that the Hearty Course Brown mustard gave his sauce a much better flavor overall, especially on his chicken wings. Yes, he basted chicken wings with the sauce. He and his older brother love wings that way.

So it looks like I’ll be keeping a supply of Grey Poupon Spicy and Course mustards on hand. If there’s anything I’ve learned from living in this of men, it’s that food is always a priority. If their tummies are full and their taste buds are happy, life is good. Grey Poupon is making life good so it’s going to be a regular in my refrigerator.

  • You are the 2nd person to do a review on Grey Poupon lately (today). What’s going on!! Seriously though, I love dijons and honey mustards. Do you know of any grey poupons that have a horseradish or wasabi flavor to them? That’s the kind of kick I love. Thanks and Cheers.
