NO! Not My Rings!

By Marisa | January 22, 2008

Some days I feel like the world is spinning around me and I just can’t seem to figure out if I should jump on or off. I just have so much to do and so many things on my mind.

And now, to top off everything, I’ve lost my engagement ring!

First, be aware that this is my second wedding ring set. My first set was stolen about 20 years ago. We replaced those rings with these ones 16 years ago. And now the engagement ring is gone.

On the plus side, I know the ring has to be in my bedroom. I was putting the rings on when one dropped and disappeared. I’ve looked everywhere but still no ring. Next step is to move the huge chest of drawers with the 27″ TV on it so I can check the register in the floor. I have a feeling it may have rolled there.

I’m going to make a note to myself that when I call later in the week for a new term life insurance quote to also ask for extra coverage for my rings. After all these years, I just don’t think I want to do this all again. In fact, I don’t think I’ll be wearing my rings much anymore. My heart can’t take this.
