When the kids come home from school, she stands next to me waiting to jump up on each of them and get a hug, just as I do. If they forget to turn to her to hug her, she whines. With Kendyll, she very "mothering" if that makes any sense. Belle is now 5; Kendyll will be two in January. From the day we brought Kendyll home (they live here with us) Belle has stuck by her side. The first time Kendyll crawled toward the 3 steps to my office, it was Belle who saw her and alerted us. My husband was about to scold Belle for acting up while he was eating his supper when he turned and saw Kendyll less than 6 inches from the steps. Up until then, she had never made it even close to there in that amount of time! Oh, and Kendyll feeds Belle all the time. Every meal. I'm sure that has helped to seal the relationship. I figured they were looking at the light streaming through the window.
