I've read that they don't normally start to form until around age 18. Nick is drinking Gatorade now instead of Pepsi because he doesn't want to go through that again. I used to get them quite often when I was a kid. Especially the teenage years. Then a few other problems developed and through a lot of tests and hospital time it was found that I had a defective kidney from birth. It was removed and I've only had stones once since then.
