Daughters!

I realize that I did not listen to my mother when I was young. I just didn’t think she had a clue – about anything! Honestly, though, I never thought that my own daughter would feel the same way about me.
Maggie is getting little breakouts on her face. Instead of following my advice about the types of makeup she should use, namely mineral makeup, she insists on the gooey gloppy drugstore stuff. UGH! Then, when I stear her toward natural skin care products instead of the harsh stuff that simply doesn’t work, she rolls her eyes as if I know nothing.
Why must teenage girls be so difficult?

Funny how that works. My son is 23 and my daughter is 18 and I’m actually starting to appear less stupid as they get older.
Reading posts like this makes me never want kids
My 3 dogs and a cat are enough.
Dude! Exactly! My son is starting to get pimples on his forehead and now they are even traveling down his nose and I have been begging him to wash his face at night and he just isn’t doing it!
I might have to take him in there myself at night! Because I know if they get too bad, he is going to feel self-conscious about it!
I tagged you for a meme on my new blog:

I love my adoring obedient dog and my daughters roll their eyes and say “whatever” at me all day long. But there’s only a limited number of things you can do with a dog. Having a laugh with one of my daughters beats everything.
To whom?
They have more good moments than bad. And the grandkids that come later are like the Grand Prize. Hmmm… maybe that’s why they’re called Grand kids!
Oh, of course! If only she didnt’ think I was clueless.
It’s a teenaged thing, isn’t it?
And I’m just getting around to all these comments. (Are you calling me a slacker?) I’ll try to get that meme, too.
It can be the most demoralizing thing in the world. I have four and sometimes it feels like they are all looking down at me. Occasionally, I show how it makes me feel and the boys are all repentant and the girls sometimes.
