I just realized I forgot to mention something really important. My new 10x mirror - WOW!
I have a 3x mirror and a 5x mirror. I love them both. But this 10x mirror is something else completely.
First, it’s small which is good since there’s really no reason to have a large magnifying mirror. If I wanted my whole body to be magnified, well, I just wouldn’t. Anyway, it has two suction cups on the back and it sticks really well to my regular makeup mirror on my vanity.
Oh, but the best part is the mirror itself. I can see every singer eyebrow hair perfectly. I saw strays that must have been there for months. It was totally amazing. I thought I’d been doing an excellent job tweezing my brows but I’ve missed all kinds of hairs.
I can’t help wondering if my brows are just bushier, if I’ve spent the past 30 years with really crappy brows or if my eyesight has truly gotten that bad in recent years. I hope it’s just the eyesight because I don’t want to think of the state of my eyebrows being so horrendous. Yes, I’m a little fanatical about my brows.
Whatever. I love my 10x mirror and I love my cleaned up brows.

Ten times magnification is nice until you decided to look at, say, the pores on your nose. Then you have to make an appointment for a facial and then it’s off for a peel and oh, hey, can you recommend a plastic surgeon and … well … that $10 mirror suddenly ends up costing you $7500 and six months of your life and …
It might be easier (and cheaper!) to just get your brows done at the salon.
Cheers!
You might have a point!
I’ve always had a hard time with my brows. A few years ago, my daughter confided that my brows looked like they were ready to take flight…( I filled them in too much)..it happens..I was glad she told me although I was very embarrassed.. no one had the heart to tell be earlier. I asked once I purchased the Lancomb (hope I spelled it right) eyebrow brush, and to date my brows are good to go. I never get them perfect, although it’s good enough for my standards. Regarding the mirror, I saw one in Bed Bath and Beyond, I was so horrified with how much you could see, I still can’t talk myself into buying one. Thanks for the return comments… Mom is still not doing well, however, we are making it through the times together. Regards, Dorothy
I have brow issues, that’s for sure. Parts that I over-tweezed decades ago still won’t grow in but other parts that really shouldn’t be there keep coming back. The new mirror just feeds my obsession.
I hope you know that you and your mother are always in my thoughts and prayers. Please give her a hug from me. And give yourself one from me, too.
