Another Storm, More DSL Woes

By Marisa | August 9, 2007

This has been one of those days. First I’m online, then I’m not. Lightning flashes in the sky, rumblings get louder and my Verizon DSL goes out. UGH!

I didn’t even call the Verizon tech support this time. I’m tired of their recording advising me to go online to submit a trouble ticket or look up my problem in the knowledge base. Uh… you provide my internet access. I wouldn’t call you unless you were failing to do that.

Every time I call Verizon, I ask them to run a line check. Every time, they put me through a 45 minute troubleshooting routine, ask me a series of questions or simply put me on hold. Eventually, they’ll do the line check and low and behold, my DSL will be back up and running. So then they tell me there’s nothing wrong with my connection because the line check is fine.

Verizon sucks. Verizon DSL is the pits. I can’t understand their tech support because they don’t speak English and I do.

Can you tell I’m frustrated? Good. Because I am.

I got sick of my DSL problems, and switched to Comcast cable. It seems to work better for me.

My battle with Verizon continues. They suck.
