Listen up! I’m going to share this with you so you won’t make the same mistake Brit made.
Just because you can put one traveling coffee cup into the microwave doesn’t mean you can put every traveling coffee cup in the microwave. Seriously. I wouldn’t tell you this if I wasn’t absolutely sure.
Unfortunately, I can’t check the bottom of the cup to see if there was a warning there since the bottom of the cup is gone. And whatever is left of the cup is, well, unidentifiable. So, just be very careful with stuff in the microwave, unless it clearly states “microwave safe.”
Okay, you want proof? Fine. First, the microwave:

And a close up of the cup, which I had to lighten a bit so you could see it. The inside of the microwave is totally black.

On the up side, the house no longer smells like burnt rubber. And I really like our new microwave.

These days home plans include a lot of things, including home lighting in the decor as well. Initially, all one needed to do was a few trips to nearby furniture stores resulting in new makeover of your house. All that has changed now. We have small adornments like area rugs and larger issues like that of bedding. Part of the house has carpet and part is covered by tiles and sconces.

Wait…you don’t like the smell of burnt rubber?
I have to digg this cup… thanks for the warning, I imagine there could have been a fire. Glad you are all okay…

OMG!! That’s scary. Glad the only new thing you had to get was a microwave after that fiasco.
Only in the bedroom.
Oh, there was a fire. I think. I came in after the fact.
Me, too. The open shelf where the microwave sits was partly black but I got it cleaned up. I’ve put some those mugs in there before but this one was different. We were lucky, that’s for sure.
