Where’s The Remote?

I grew up during a time without TV remote control. Oh, some people had them. My Aunt Jo, for instance, had a remote for her TV. It controlled the sound and made the channels go up and down. That was it. Of course, Aunt Jo didn’t have cable so the channels only went to three stations. Still, it was a remote.

We didn’t have a remote, nor did we have a color TV. We had to stand up, walk 2 or 3 feet to the TV and turn the dial up or down. It wasn’t a big deal and it isn’t a big deal now when my remote is missing. Like tonight.

The problem is that Kendyll lost the remote. Before she lost it, she experimented a little with the buttons. That’s why the TV is now displaying closed captioning and without the remote, I can’t get it off.

I’m going to follow Kendyll around until she locates the remote. I just know she hid it on purpose. I think Nick paid her to do it, to see if they can drive me crazy.

  • But, what’s really funny is that she is probably the only one in the house that can get the tv back to normal again with or without the remote! Kids are way too smart :-p

Seriously, when we got our digital cable hooked up my oldest had it all figured out in like 5 minutes. I had to ask him to work the tv for me for at least two weeks -lol-
