Boy World

Since I grew up with only sisters, there are some things about boys/men that I never knew. For instance, bathroom habits. Lets just say that girls don’t really find many reasons to compete in the bathroom. Most of what we do there goes right where it’s supposed to go.
I never knew, either, about ingrown hairs. Sure, I dealt with acne, but it was good old regular acne. It wasn’t from hairs that got twisted under the skin. My husband and sons get those a lot and the only thing that seems to work on them is tend skin which I have to order online.
I certainly never realized that boys spend as much time getting ready to go out and about as girls do. That was probably the biggest surprise of all. I thought guys just walked out the door when it was time to go. Never imagined that they primped in front of the mirror, checked their hair over and over and generally cared about their appearance!
Parenting has taught me quite a bit.
