I admit that my husband knows quite a few people in the contruction and remodeling business. I know my fair share, too. We’ve been in this industry for decades.
Still, I’m not sure why people think I have the inside scoop on everyone who does any work at all on homes. I’d love to know about everyone who does construction but I don’t.
Once again today I was asked about someone’s reputation in business. An aquaintance was researching House Painters and asked my opinion. When I said I didn’t know any of them or their work so I had no opinion, the response was a bit cold and the conversation ended quickly.
I understand people need opinions and I’m flattered that mine is sought out. However, I can’t possibly be familiar with every person who works in this field. If only I could find a nice way to explain that.
Sigh.
