Watching Over the Kids

I know that privacy is always a huge issue with everyone. It is with me, at least. And yet, as a mother, I sometimes feel compelled to check up on my kids. I get that feeling even more with their online activity lately. You see, they each have their own computer and two of those computers are not in family areas. That’s why I’ve told the kids that I may check their machines to find out what they’ve been doing. I figure that if I”m warning them ahead of time it’s not really an invasion of privacy. It’s parenting.

I’m pretty good and finding deleted stuff on their machines but I’d really like to make computer monitoring a little easier. I’m really intrigued by Spector Pro. Its IM and MySpace monitoring make it a perfect tool for monitoring my teenaged kids. The PC Magazine Editor’s Choice Award caught my eye, too. Monitoring my kids is serious business and this software will make the job easier. What a great find.
