That’s pretty nifty.
I cut the budget 200 billion.
And I increased education related expenses 100%!
I got the following:
Old budget was $3748.1268 billion
($2673 billion in spending, $1075.1268 billion in tax expenditures and cuts).
New budget is $3118.18 billion
($2403.45 billion in spending, $714.73 billion in tax expenditures and cuts).
You have cut the deficit by $629.95 billion.
Your new deficit is $-228.94 billion.
I was able to cut the budget by just over $200 bill simply by eliminating tax breaks for rich people and cutting military spending. I think, however, the first thing to eliminate is the guy “in charge”. But that’s a different rant…
Wow! I need to play with it a little more.
Excellent! I was very conservative when I tried it. I’ll have to go back and start hacking away at more stuff.
I increased military spending.
My thoughts are that if we are weak in military, we can be taken over. No matter how wonderful life is in this country, if we are prone to enemy attack, all the good stuff can be taken away.
I’d rather cut corporate welfare and asinine research grants. I’m not very happy that my tax dollars have made it possible for cow farts to smell like roses.
And, to be honest, if I really had my way, I’d eliminate the Social Security, medicare, medicaide, and unemploument compensation programs. However, for purposes of this exercise I didn’t touch them although I eliminated the prescription drug program.
Wow! That’s neat. I saved $275 billion, but that’s not that much. Lots of stuff in there I didn’t think about
